DON'T FORGET....THE FAVOUR BANK!!

Look....we know many of the schemes....most are founded by mugs who are ok at IT stuff but couldn't pick their nose. Most of them just use the free media tips, post by 12 noon and charge people for the info!!! Honest!  Then they spin how their selections won so many races but anyone who knows the punt game can see through their spin. Please don't waste your money. TAJODDS APPRAISAL OF COMMERCIAL RATINGS SYSTEMS

Tajodds can be direct, open and honest in its appraisal of ratings systems because they are no competition to our service.... we have the best assessors and are free...and no ads! If you have purchased a ratings or tipster service and would like it assessed just contact us. Here are our comments about a couple of new services on the block and what they charge.

1. Champion Picks

The first bit of spin is a guarantee to win. Then you read that the guarantee is not to return your money but to give you more of the same. In fact they'll double your subscription time! The service loses you a heap and they want to give you more!  I have had several people contact me regards losing big money with this service. HOWEVER...they are accountable and have sent me their newsletter FREE tips results. From Jan to January they had 33% strike rate but the winners only averaged a price at just over $2.60 so a loss over all.

The full service cost is $1998 per annum

2.  Expertform

Somewhat new compared to some services out there but the experience in their assessors is sound. Anecdotal evidence is that they have slipped in quality since beginning but this is not unusual in a tough industry. They give a huge coverage Australia wide and results are VERY consistent. Tajodds has now assessed their best bets and over the last 4 months they have all made a loss (Best from each meet, long shots, and 'facts' horses. There is a bit of spin but that is hard to avoid if you are marketing your product for profit.

The cost of Expertform Rates is $2640 per year. This is out of the reach of your average punter, but we consider it value if you need a broad coverage of services across Australia. Our advice is it the best of the commercially available systems so if you have the money available it is not wasted here.  HOWEVER, it will not guarantee you a profit If their BEST BETS can't find a profit there is reason for concern

3.  Racing & Sports

What a fantastic service overall, but don't purchase anything! The tipsters or specials are of no value in our opinion, but the website support to the industry is HUGE. If you like stats on jockeys, trainers, courses, horses etc etc this is the place to go! The HUGE problem is they can't handle the traffic to the site which is clogged up with advertisements and freezes most days.

4  Bet a Day

The Bet a Day racing system is an SMS service. You receive the "tip" at least 15mins before start time. Cost is high at $80/month so up near $1000 per year and you get at least 20 tips. The crew running the service are novices with only 10 years in the industry and no info on who runs the show. The results section is very limited and from the past couple of months the strike rate is >40% winners but win price is around $2.70 for very  small margins. A similar result could be achieved by only backing horeses under $3 that are well supported rather than paying someone $1000 to give you the info by phone! Still, if you like a consistent strike rate and don't mind the short oddsthen there are worse systems about! Recommended 'value' prices to be taken would be advised as no good backing a $3 chance if it is paying $2.80

 5. Any other systems???
